Charles Barkley has never been one to bite his tongue.
Whether he’s weighing in on the touchy topic of Meyers Leonard, keeping it completely real on Steve Nash’s coaching prowess, or waxing poetic about the 2 most important players in NBA history, Barkley always speaks his mind.
It was more of the same this week.
On Thursday’s edition of TNT’s “Inside the NBA,” Barkley admitted that was rooting for the Brookln Nets to fail.
As usual, the Hall of Famer kept it very blunt.
“I am always going to root against Brooklyn,” he said.
“I just don’t like the way they put that team together… I am never going to be a proponent of guys building their own teams, never going to be for it. So I am rooting for anybody to beat Brooklyn.”
Barkley has been very open about his lingering beef with Kevin Durant, so none of this should come as a surprise.

That said, it’s safe to assume that the Nets will inevitably hear about what Barkley said, and they won’t be happy about it.
Will it manifest into something more? Time will tell.
