There is no love lost between Kevin Durant and Charles Barkley. Friction between the pair, mainly coming from Durant’s side, has been on full display throughout the past year.
The most notable example of it came about a month ago, when Barkley tried to interview Durant during a segment of Inside the NBA.
Durant wasn’t having it.
A few weeks later, Durant called Barkley an “idiot” for suggesting that athletes “deserve some preferential treatment” with coronavirus vaccines because they pay high taxes.
This week, Barkley addressed his ongoing beef with Durant.
“See, I don’t even know if it was about Kyrie, or I said that (Durant’s) not going to get the credit he deserves until he wins a championship without the Warriors,” Barkley told Sam Amick of The Athletic.
“So I’m not sure if it was what I said about him or what I said about Kyrie. Like, man, I don’t know what these f***ing guys are (hearing) to be honest with you, Sam. But clearly, he was upset about something to give me that one-word answer. To me, it was hilarious.”

A few weeks back, Durant and LeBron James weighed in on the incessant need veterans like Barkley and Shaquille O’Neal have to tear down current NBA players. They were not fans of it.
Based on that, it’s safe to say that this lingering beef between the old school and the new school probably isn’t going to go away any time soon.
