Paige Bueckers’ WNBA Debut Jersey Sells for Record $64,720 at Auction

Paige Bueckers’ jersey just broke the WNBA auction market in half.
The Dallas Wings jersey she wore during her WNBA debut on May 16, 2025 sold for $64,720 through MeiGray, setting a new record for the highest price ever paid for a WNBA jersey. The previous mark was $32,150 for an A’ja Wilson jersey worn during the 2025 WNBA Finals. Bueckers more than doubled it.
Even Bueckers thought the number was nuts.
“That’s insane to me, just thinking about it,” Bueckers told reporters when asked about the sale. “That much money is insane to me. I’m just feeling very grateful and feeling blessed that people are that invested in women’s sports.”
She then added what might be the line of the offseason. “I wouldn’t even pay $10 for my own jersey.”
That is the kind of self-deprecating answer that explains exactly why Bueckers is the most marketable player in women’s basketball not named Caitlin Clark. She does not take any of this too seriously. She knows the moment is bigger than her. And she still finds ways to keep things grounded.
The price itself tells you everything about where the WNBA is right now. A rookie debut jersey selling for $64,720 would have been unthinkable five years ago. The league had its first wave of mainstream attention with Caitlin Clark last season, and Bueckers has carried that momentum into this one. The Wings have become a destination, even if they are still figuring out their on-court ceiling.
Bueckers also reflected on what the moment means for the broader sport. She talked about growing up as a fan without easy access to WNBA games and how special it feels to be part of an era where more fans can actually watch and support the league. That kind of perspective from a 24-year-old is rare.
The Wings are in a difficult spot competitively. They are rebuilding around Bueckers. The roster is young. The losses have outnumbered the wins. None of that has slowed down the merchandise sales, the jersey auctions, or the demand for tickets. Bueckers is selling out arenas in cities where the visiting team did not draw flies a year ago.
This jersey sale is going to be the new bar for every WNBA player who wants to put memorabilia up for auction. Wilson held the previous record for a fraction of a second. Bueckers crushed it. Whoever comes next is going to have to be a true superstar moment to top this.
The WNBA itself benefits massively from this kind of attention. The league has been growing fast, and the jersey market is one of the clearest signs that fans are willing to pay real money to be part of it. $64,720 is not a casual price. Somebody really wanted that specific piece of women’s basketball history.
Bueckers will keep playing in front of bigger crowds and bigger TV audiences for years. If this is what her debut jersey goes for, her first All-Star or championship jersey is going to make this number look small.
