The winner of Ohio State vs Michigan is obvious, according to ESPN.

Coming into the 2019 college football season, many were excited to see what the Wolverines would bring to the table.

With Urban Meyer finally gone, the path seemed clear for Jim Harbaugh’s ascension to the throne and for Michigan to take a seat atop the Big Ten mountain.

Obviously that did not end up happening, though.

Ohio State did not miss a beat without Meyer, and they continue to rule over the conference the way they have for the better part of the last decade.

This weekend, Michigan has the opportunity to regain some semblance of dignity in their annual match-up with the Buckeyes.

Will they be able to do slay the beast this time around?

According to ESPN, the answer is no.

ESPN crunched the numbers, and according to their statistical analysis, Ohio State will win the game comfortably, 30-19.

Michigan could complete a stirring second-half turnaround by pulling off its first win over the Buckeyes in eight years — not to mention Jim Harbaugh’s first since he was the Wolverines’ QB in 1986 — and putting a dent into their rivals’ national title stock,” wrote ESPN’s Bill Connelly.

“More likely, Ohio State could send the school up north back into the existential crisis from which it has recently begun to emerge. Either way, it’s going to be a hell of a show.”

Will Michigan shock the world and prove the doubters wrong this Saturday?

Probably not.
