Miami Finally Reveals Truth About Tate Martell

Miami finally reveals the truth about Tate Martell in a new interview.

Head coach Manny Diaz spoke to the media this week after questions began to circulate about Martell’s absence.

During his interview, Diaz acknowledged that the highly touted prospect had taken a second leave of absence from the team.

“Tate came to me midweek last week, felt like he needed another personal leave,” Diaz said of the situation.

“We decided together that it would probably be better just to go ahead and take this one and the Duke game and sit out instead of being in and out, in and out and he also reiterated that Miami is where he wants to be.

“He doesn’t want to leave, but he’s got to resolve these issues and we support him in that.”

Martell transferred from Ohio State to Miami with a ton of hype behind him.

Due to his status as a four star recruit out of high school, many expected him to experience the sort of resurgence Joe Burrow ultimately ended up experiencing at LSU.

Instead he was unable to earn any playing time under Diaz and was instead temporarily switched over to wide receiver.

When that idea failed, it appears the wheels completely came off the car.

Martell will now miss Miami’s upcoming showdown against Duke as we await a final decision on his future with the program.
