The winner of Alabama vs Auburn is clear, according to ESPN.

Heading into this weekend, the biggest game on the college football schedule is undoubtedly the annual SEC showdown between Alabama and Auburn.

Stakes are high for this one.

If Alabama wins, they live on to fight another day and their College Football Playoff hopes remain alive.

If Auburn wins, Alabama’s year is over.

In the lead-up to the game, Alabama head coach Nick Saban called Auburn “the best team we’ve played, probably, so far this year.”

Is that actually true? Probably not, given the fact that LSU trounced the Crimson Tide just a few weeks ago.

According to ESPN, Alabama will likely win this game 30-22.

“Auburn’s not going to be willingly pushed over, though,” ESPN’s Bill Connelly wrote.

“The Tigers held LSU and Georgia to season lows in yards per play and gave up 13 fewer points to LSU than anyone else has.

“They are fourth in defensive SP+, and while their offense looks as if it is led by a true freshman QB (because it is), they could pretty swiftly end Bama’s backdoor title hopes.”

Buckle up, folks. Things have the potential to get real crazy on Saturday.
