What Russell Westbrook Did When Isaiah Stewart Went After LeBron James (Video)

LeBron James and Isaiah Stewart found themselves embroiled in a massive confrontation on Sunday afternoon.

Part of the way through the third quarter, Detroit Pistons star Jerami Grant (who may soon be a focal part of a blockbuster trade) stepped up to the charity stripe. As he shot his second free throw, James seemed to throw an elbow at Stewart that left him busted up real good.

This led to a massive blowup that saw Stewart essentially try to fight the entire Los Angeles Lakers ballclub.

A number of interesting videos ultimately emerged from the melee.

Stewart seemingly running into the tunnel after James obviously got a lot of play:

But the video that went most viral was the one that showed Anthony Davis and Russell Westbrook square up and get ready to fight when they thought something was about to go down.

Westbrook, specifically, seemed ready to roll:

Given how Westbrook likes to get down, this probably shouldn’t come as much of a surprise. After all, this is man who has somehow managed to already get into a fight with not one, but two separate fans this year.

Drama aside, the Lakers were able to squeak out a 121-116 victory over the Pistons on Sunday. With the win they improved to 9-9 on the year.

What will the fallout from this almost-brawl ultimately end up being? Time will tell.
