Vikings, Cardinals Working On Stefon Diggs Trade?

Are the Minnesota Vikings and Arizona Cardinals working on a Stefon Diggs trade? Things may be headed in that direction.

As everything currently stand, Diggs is still a member of the Vikings. He is under contract with Minnesota until 2023, and if the team does want to get rid of him, he has no recourse.

That being said, it is increasingly beginning to look like the relationship between Diggs and the organization is becoming untenable.

Several weeks ago, Diggs removed all Vikings-related content off his social media profile. Ever since then, rumors have swirled that a trade of some sort was inevitable.

Diggs added additional fuel to the fire recently by stating that he knows his worth – generally a signal that a player feels underappreciated in his current situation.

Last season, Diggs recorded 1,130 receiving yards and six touchdowns on 63 receptions. One year earlier, in 2018, he amassed 1,021 yards and nine touchdowns on 102 receptions.

At only 26 years old – he still has plenty left in the tank. The big question is: will anyone trade for him?

On Wednesday, photos emerged of Diggs practicing while decked out in Cardinals garb.

Naturally, that made many wonder whether a trade was in the works between Minnesota and Arizona centering around the prolific wide receiver.

It is worth remembering, the Cardinals are definitely a team that needs some help at wide receiver. Kyler Murray will be entering his sophomore campaign next season, and having a Pro Bowl-level receiving option to throw to would be huge.

Minnesota is due to pay Diggs the last $5 million of his $15 million signing bonus this Sunday. That means if something is going to happen with him going elsewhere, there is a very good chance it will happen before then.
