Vanessa Bryant has quietly emerged as the face of the Bryant family ever since Kobe Bryant’s passing.
As the matriarch of arguably the most beloved sports family in all of Los Angeles, she has handled the pressure and scrutiny that inevitably comes with all that attention with about as much dignity and grace as anyone could.
In large part because of how she has handled it, Vanessa has amassed a new legion of fans across social media.
This past week, Vanessa shared a number of pictures from weekend out with her family. They immediately earned strong reactions from her supporters.
“Mommy love, so freakin’ cute,” one person wrote.
“A ‘picnic perfect’ day!!! So cute,” a second person chimed in.
“The best,” a third person added.
Vanessa has been in the headlines nonstop over the past few months. Between her appearance at a recent public event, her outfit for NBA All-Star Weekend and the way she looked at Pau Gasol’s Los Angeles Lakers jersey retirement ceremony, it has been one thing after another with her.
This most recent attention she got for the Disney photos is just par for the course.

But nobody rises to the level of Vanessa. She is NBA royalty through and though, and she occupies a truly unique space at the intersection of culture and sports.
Moreover, the work she has done preserving Kobe’s memory has been truly remarkable.
Vanessa has been a permanent fixture in the headlines for years, and that is unlikely to change any time soon. What will she ultimately go viral for next? Time will tell.
