Vanessa Bryant and her daughters celebrated Halloween in epic fashion this year.
Vanessa, Natalia, Bianka, and Capri each had two very distinctive costumes in honor of the big day.
First, they dressed up as Madeline in Paris – including the blue dresses with white collars and those very distinctive yellow hats for the girls. Vanessa went as boarding school teacher Miss Clavel, including the nun’s habit.
Next, things took a very Star Wars-y turn. Vanessa went as Darth Vader, while Natalia dressed as BB8, Bianka a storm trooper and Capri was an Ewok.
The girls were subsequently joined by former Los Angeles Lakers star Pau Gasol, who was Kobe Bryant’s teammate and close friend, his wife Cat and their newborn daughter, Elisabet Gianna. Gasol went as a natural Chewbacca, while his wife wielded a light saber in one hand and her baby in the other.
“Roller coaster of a week,” Vanessa wrote in the caption. “Thx to our loving village we’re getting through it. One day at a time.”
Vanessa has been a rock for Natalia, age 17, Bianka, age 3, and Capri, age 1, ever since Kobe’s tragic passing at the beginning of this year. Back in late January, Kobe, his 13-year-old daughter Gianna, baseball coach John Altobelli, five others, and the pilot died in a helicopter crash.

The incident rocked the entire sports world to its core. Ultimately, the Lakers dedicated their championship-winning 2019-20 season to the Bryant family. The team honored Kobe all year with a “KB” patch on their jerseys and even had an alternate “Black Mamba” jersey set which they wore for several playoff games. They only lost once in the ‘Black Mamba’ jerseys.
After the Lakers won their championship, Vanessa came out and admitted how much she wished her husband had been around to see it.

“Congratulations Uncle P! Congratulations @lakers Kobe was right, RP! Stay the course – blockout the noise. Go Lakers! Wish Kobe and Gigi were here to see this,” she wrote.
Lakers GM Rob Pelinka, or “Uncle P” as Vanessa called him in that social media post, was one of Kobe’s closest friends and served as his agent during his playing days.
Vanessa also later showcased an incredible tattoo she got, depicting the names Kobe, Vanessa, Natalia, Gianna, Bianka and Capri inked along the outside of her right foot.
