Utah Jazz Plane Makes Emergency Landing After Crazy Accident

A team plane carrying the Utah Jazz on board was forced to make an emergency landing on Tuesday afternoon after a bizarre accident.

According to CBS Sports, Delta flight 8944 hit a flock of birds right as it was taking off from Salt Lake City International Airport.

As a result, the left engine got shut down and that prompted the sudden descent. Ultimately nobody on board was hurt and the pilot was able to land without incident.

Prior to landing, the Boeing 757 aircraft was reportedly heading to Tennessee where the Jazz have a road game against the Memphis Grizzlies.

After the plane landed safely, multiple Jazz players expressed their gratitude over how the situation turned out.

This has been something of a crazy season for the Jazz. Between Donovan Mitchell’s feud with Shaquille O’Neal, Mitchell’s relationship with teammate Rudy Gobert, and their shocking rise to the No. 1 seed in the Western Conference, 2021 has definitely been different.

Today’s crazy occurrence is just the latest example of that.
