USC is set to lose a star to Oregon State.

Jack Sears, ranked as one of the top players in California back in 2017, is reportedly considering making a move.

On Thursday, 247 Sports reported that Sears is currently visiting Oregon State and transferring there.

Sears entered USC with a lot of hype. He was originally committed to joining Duke before changing his mind and going with the Trojans.

Heading into college he was ranked as the No. 13 senior in the state of California.

Unfortunately, once he arrived, things did not quite work out for Sears. He could not win playing time over J.T. Daniels, and then when Daniels went down, the starting spot went to Kedon Slovis.

Last year, in his only start as a Trojans quarterback, Sears threw for 235 yards and two touchdowns against Arizona State.
