Deion Sanders Responds To Florida State Rumors

Deion Sanders responds to Florida State and the rumors of him possibly becoming the school’s next football coach.

Sanders, 52, emerged out of nowhere on Thursday as a possible candidate to replace Willie Taggart, who was abruptly fired last Sunday.

Sanders is arguably the biggest star to ever emerge out of Florida State, so in that regard his name sort of makes sense.

He had an illustrious career in the professional ranks with eight Pro Bowls and a Hall of Fame yellow jacket all on his resume.

The problem with him coaching Florida State, though, is that he has no coaching experience above the high school level.

One would think that Florida State would be looking for someone a bit more seasoned.

Nevertheless, Sanders appears to be interested in the job, as evidenced by his tweet Thursday night.

“Love ya my brother! Always have always will. Coming up in FLORIDA You made us think outside the box & dream big. I need those players from Miami. Just joking….. Not really,” Sanders replied in a tweet to Luke Campbell.

Campbell had initially tweeted out his support for the move and said that only Nick Saban would be able to compete with Sanders’ coaching abilities.

Will Sanders ultimately get the nod at Florida State?

It is unlikely, but stranger things have happened in college football.
