McKayla Maroney is a very popular retired gymnast who rose to notoriety as a member of the American women’s team known as the Fierce Five at the 2012 Summer Olympics.
Maroney captured a gold medal in the team and an individual silver medal in the vault event.

In a recent Instagram story, she was rushed to the hospital with ‘severe pain.’
The cause?
Kidney stones.
Fortunately, it seems like with time and rest Maroney will recover.
At that point, she’ll likely return to the regular social media posting schedule that has turned her into a viral star.
