Craig Sager Political Leanings Exposed As His Kids Fight On Twitter
Iconic NBA reporter Craig Sager found himself in the news this week after his children waged war over his politics on social media.
On Wednesday night, Craig Sager Jr. tweeted out a somewhat controversial opinion regarding the league his dad used to cover.
“The NBA is whack and it has nothing to do with my dad being dead & everything to do with black lives matter,” he wrote.

The youngster then noted that he wasn’t afraid of any potential backlash.
“I’m not afraid of twitter,” he wrote.
“Go ahead. Cancel me.”

This prompted his sister, Kacy, to chime in.
Initially, she simply scolded him for speaking on the NBA when apparently it was common knowledge within the family that he had not followed the sport for years.
“You haven’t watched the NBA in years, Craig,” she tweeted.
“Why pop back in now just to spew this nonsense? What does this even mean? And why drag Dad into it?”

In an interesting turn of events, Kacy then went on to reveal that her father had actually left his death bed to vote for President Donald Trump.
Um, his father wrote speeches for Nixon. He left the hospital weeks before his death to vote for Trump. I think Craig’s tweet is asinine, but it’s fucking ridiculous for folks to project whatever politics they want onto our dead father to weaponize his memory against his kids.

The pair’s father was one of the most well-known NBA TV reporters of his time.
In 2012, he earned an Emmy nomination for his NBA on TNT work.
Sager was diagnosed with leukemia before the 2014 playoffs and underwent bone marrow transplants over the next two years. He eventually died in 2016.

In an odd turn of events, after his passing, it was revealed Sager left many of his children from his first marriage out of his will.
“Nothing like getting served, pestered by Sherrifs & taken to court over a Will that myself and my sisters are not only 100% excluded from but do not even have any interest in contesting in the first place. Thanks Dad,” Sager Jr. tweeted in 2018.
Sager Jr., Kacy and his other sister Krista were all from from Sager’s marriage to Lisa Gabriel, which spanned from 1980 to 2002. The NBA reporter would go on to be married once more prior to his passing.
