Dana White Reveals UFC Plans In Light Of Coronavirus
Dana White revealed the UFC’s future plans in light of the coronavirus pandemic that is sweeping the globe.
The UFC had events planned for March 14, March 21, March 28, April 11 and April 18.
On Thursday evening, White appeared on ESPN’s SportsCenter to talk about what would happen to each one in light of the coronavirus.
According to White, this Saturday’s event that was set to take place at Nilson Nelson Gymnasium in Brasília, Brazil, will move forward as planned. However, fans will not permitted to be in attendance.
Dana White officially confirms that the Brasilia event will proceed in an empty arena.
He adds that the current plan for UFC London is to proceed as planned with fans attendance.

From there, on March 21, UFC Fight Night 171 from the O2 Arena in London, is currently to move forward – with fans in attendance.
UFC on ESPN 8, per White, will move from Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio, to UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada. The same will happen with UFC Fight Night 172, which was originally set to take place in the Moda Center in Portland, Oregon.

White did not comment on what will happen to UFC 249.
Presumably he is taking a wait and see approach before making any rash decisions with arguably the biggest card of the year.
