Oscar De La Hoya’s Wild Birthday Photos Go Viral
Oscar De La Hoya is one of the greatest boxers of all time.
Over the span of his fighting reign De La Hoya captured 11 world titles in six different weight divisions, not to mention the lineal title in three separate weight divisions. Most knowledgeable fans have him within their top-25 all-time lists.
Since his retirement from the sport in 2009, De La Hoya has made headlines for an array of reasons. Some were good; others not so much. In both scenarios, though – he has remained extremely culturally relevant.
This past week, it was more of the same.
A few days ago De La Hoya celebrated his 49th birthday. And boy did it look wild:

While he sometimes finds himself in the headlines for not-so-great stuff, De La Hoya is an undeniable combat sports legend.
No matter what anyone thinks of him, regardless of what happens in his post-fighting career – what he has done for boxing is remarkable.
And given what some of the other big names in fighting are getting embroiled in these days, are any of his transgressions really all that much worse?

Here’s to hoping De La Hoya continues enjoying his life and living it to the fullest. He has earned that much.
