Ex-UFC Star Pearl Gonzalez’s Provocative Video Causes A Stir
Ex-UFC star Pearl Gonzalez made a huge impression on mixed martial arts fans despite fighting only twice in the world’s biggest promotion.
Gonzalez, 36, spent a year with Dana White and Co. back in 2017. She lost twice in that span – once to Cynthia Calvillo and once to Poliana Botelho. The latter came via decision while the former was by submission.
After that Gonzalez bounced around from Invicta to various boxing promotions. Along the way, though, she amassed a major following on social media.
These days, any time Gonzalez posts anything, it blows up online. And this week proved to be no exception.
On Wednesday Gonzalez posted a provocative video to her accounts that immediately caused something of a stir.

This obviously isn’t the first time in recent months that Gonzalez has set the internet ablaze in this fashion. Between her wild boat party video, racy Halloween video and the provocative outfit she opted to wear to the airport she has been a pretty permanent fixture in the fight headlines.
And in a sport where big name female fighters routinely blow up over their spicy pictures, it’s telling that Gonzalez has become and stayed such a mainstay in the MMA news cycle.

Big picture, it will be interesting to see where Gonzalez goes from here. Obviously she could keep fighting in various promotions if she wants to, but she is no longer in a position where she needs to.
She is a big enough name in the fight game to simply cash in on her social media presence and overall celebrity.
Will Gonzalez and the UFC find a way to somehow work together in the foreseeable future? Time will tell.
