Ex-UFC star Pearl Gonzalez celebrated Halloween like only she can this year.
Gonzalez, 36, initially made a name for herself as one of the rare mixed martial arts (MMA) fighters out there who understood the importance of self-promotion.
In addition to making an impression in the octagon, she also made it a point to put herself out there outside of it, too.
Throughout her UFC run Gonzalez found herself the victim of some bad luck. She made her promotional debut versus Cynthia Calvillo, a fighter many at the time thought of as a potential future championship contender.
Gonzalez lost via choke to Calvillo and then was defeated once more by Poliana Botelho at UFC 216. She was given the boot shortly thereafter.
Fortunately, Gonzalez has found unique and creative ways to remain relevant. Case in point, her Halloween costume this year:
@pearl_gonzalez One of my all time favorite movies From Dusk Till Dawn.. What an honor to embody the Queen @salmahayek. 🔥 Full video coming soon 🎬 #halloween #halloween2022 #salmahayek #dusk till #dawn ♬ original sound – PearlGonzalez
And that of course comes on the heels of her video at the beginning of Halloween weekend:
@pearl_gonzalez Getting ready for Halloween weekend like 🐰🙌🏼💃🏻 Chicago is the best city in the 🌎, prove me wrong. 💋👊🏼 #TBT #funny #bunny #playboy #chicago #chitown #chi #girl ♬ Me Porto Bonito – Bad Bunny & Chencho Corleone
Understandably, it caused something of a stir on social media. And this isn’t an isolated incident. Between her wild choice of airport outfit, crazy chest tattoo and unforgettable photos in a hospital room – Gonzalez is always going viral for something.
This year’s Halloween costume is just the latest example of that.
Gonzalez always recognized the importance of making herself a big name beyond just fighting.
And now that her fighting career is winding down, that understanding is really paying dividends.

What will she ultimately blow up for online next?
Time will tell.
