Israel Adesanya Rides Paulo Costa From Behind After Win (Video)
Israel Adesanya scored a dominant victory over Paulo Costa at UFC 253 on Saturday night.
After the win, the reigning champ decided to ride the challenger from behind in bizarre fashion.
Needless to say, it was a sight to see.

Following the bout, Adesanya also had some choice words for Costa’s corner.
“I’m gonna *** all over you,” he seemingly said.

Many expected the UFC Middleweight bout to be competitive, with Costa touted as the biggest test of Adesanya’s career.
That turned out not to be the case.
Costa implemented a horrendous, tentative game plan from the onset that allowed Adesanya to get comfortable. And once that happened, it was all over.
Ultimately, Adesanya scored a second-round TKO over Costa.

“Trust me,” Adesanya said during his postfight interview.
“I had to make y’all remember. I had to remind the world why we the best.”
The 31-year-old Adesanya also acknowledged on Saturday night that he was hoping to follow in the footsteps of longtime UFC Middleweight champ Anderson Silva.
“I wanted to do service to the middleweight division, and that’s a hard act to follow,” Adesanya said.
After the bout, fans sounded off on Twitter.
Costa should retire.

1. If you call Israel Adesanya classless then you obviously didn’t follow this fight close enough
2. It’s showmanship
3. Paulo Costa talked more shit before the fight, Style Bender did it after he won

It will be interesting to see where both men go from here.
Costa will obviously need to go back to the drawing board and attempt to slowly make the case for another title shot down the line.

Adesanya, meanwhile, has already faced off against and beaten the class of the division. His next move is a bit more uncertain.
Presumably he will face off against Jared Cannonier if the 36-year-old can get past Robert Whittaker, but obviously that is a big if.
If Whittaker prevails, then finding another challenger for the champ suddenly becomes significantly more difficult.
