Is UFC Lying About Khabib Nurmagomedov’s Weight For Justin Gaethje Fight?
Khabib Nurmagomedov will face off against Justin Gaethje at UFC 254 on Saturday afternoon to defend his lightweight championship. It is expected to be a fun bout between two contrasting styles that will settle once and for all who the division’s best fighter is.
Heading into the match-up, both men had to weigh in on Friday morning. Gaethje did the deed with no issues or concerns. Nurmagomedov, however, seemed to have some difficulties.
Unlike his counterpart, Nurmagomedov appeared to go extremely quickly with no one paying serious attention to whether his weight was actually on the mark. The video speaks for itself.

The person conducting the weigh-in could very clearly be seen not paying attention to what was actually on Nurmagomedov’s scale.
Naturally, fans had some notes and observations.
Notice how he waits for the bar to balance with Gaethje’s weigh in? Khabib swallowers will deny this but the evidence is right there https://t.co/rbHuwKL8Sp pic.twitter.com/fMuCz63WeU

Not one for the MMA conspiracy theories but the Khabib weigh in was suspicious. The scale clearly tips up when he steps on the scale, meaning he is heavier than indicated, and the official quickly moves it and says 155 and Khabib appears in misbelief that he made it. pic.twitter.com/St2ae8yaDh

Found the clip of Khabib’s weigh in, he looks pretty drained. https://t.co/BhekrQKjJd

Y’all watch the other weigh ins too? Maybe the commission guy sucks, or y’all just don’t know how scales work lol I’ve used these a lot of times to weigh in for competition, if Khabib was overweight it would’ve have taken its time to slowly move up it would’ve SHOT up immediately https://t.co/auMYBO6myi

Sketchiest weigh in Ive seen in a while, he’s still moving when they weigh him, the equalizer is still moving…definitely some Dana shenanigans going on. Khabib looks like shit too after talking all that junk about Porier and McGregor fighting heavier

Regardless of whether there was any foul play or not, the fight is proceeding as planned – so none of this chatter really matters.
Come Saturday, either Nurmagomedov or Gaethje will emerge from their showdown as champion. Which one will it be? Time will tell.
