UFC Fight Island Cards Set: UFC 251 And 3 Fight Nights
UFC President Dana White announced on Tuesday that his much-hyped Fight Island was finally a reality.
Beginning in July, White’s organization was headed abroad to host UFC 251 and three Fight Nights. The pay-per-view is scheduled for July 11, while the Fight Night cards will take place on July 15, 18 and 25.
Headlining UFC 251 will be a showdown for the welterweight title between Kamaru Usman and Gilbert Burns. Burns, of course, is fresh off a victory over former champion Tyron Woodley.
In addition to those bouts, UFC 251 will also feature a featherweight title showdown between Alex Volkanovski and Max Holloway, and Petr Yan will battle Jose Aldo for the vacant bantamweight championship.
The full UFC 251 card is as follows:
Usman vs. Burns
Volkanovski vs. Holloway
Yan vs. Aldo
Namajunas vs. Andrade 2
VanZant vs. Ribas
Coming out of UFC 251, at least one new champion is guaranteed to be crowned.
