DeMarcus Cousins Returning To Lakers?
Is DeMarcus Cousins returning to the Los Angeles Lakers? At the moment, the option has seemingly not been ruled out.
The NBA is set to recommence its season at the end of July in Disney World. The top 22 teams in the league will return to action – including LA.
The Lakers originally waived Cousins back in February in order to free up a slot for Markieff Morris. Because of the schedule the league was on, it seemed like an obvious decision because Cousins would not be able to return from his ACL injury in time to help the team.
However, with the coronavirus-delay that took place last month, all that changed.
As noted by Eric Pincus of the Bleacher Report, the Lakers could bring Cousins in and add him to their playoff roster if they wanted to.
“A s a follow-up to those still confused – the Los Angeles Lakers can re-sign DeMarcus Cousins to play basketball in the NBA for this season,” he wrote.
Will this move happen? Time will tell. But can it happen? Absolutely.
