JD Spielman Transferring From Nebraska To Minnesota?

Leading Nebraska wide receiver JD Spielman has opted to transfer from the university.

Spielman’s decision became official this week when he entered the transfer portal.

Spielman initially took a leave of absence from the program back in March. He was said to have returned home to Minnesota in order to deal with an unspecified personal health matter.

Up until his departure, Spielman ranked at the top of Cornhuskers history when it came to receiving yardage with more than 2,500 yards. Beyond that, he also racked up 1,051 return yards on special teams.

Over the course of his time with Nebraska, Spielman recorded 18 touchdowns and was a freshman All-American pick in 2017.

Although Spielman has not announced where he is planning to go, multiple sources believe he is likely to land with the Gophers.
