New England Patriots To Sign Colin Kaepernick?

Are the New England Patriots going to sign Colin Kaepernick? Although a marriage between those two parties does not seem like a natural mix, multiple parties have now come out and suggested it as a viable possibility.

It all started with a column in the Boston Globe by Chad Finn. He penned an entire article entitled “Colin Kaepernick and the New England Patriots: a perfect fit on every level.”

Finn was not the only person to suggestion a Kaepernick-Patriots union, though.

Alex Didion of NBC Sports in the Bay did the same. “This likely would provide Kaepernick the best opportunity to be a starter right away,” he wrote.

While both authors make sensible points regarding why Kaepernick to the Patriots could work, it is hard to ignore the reality of the situation.

Team owner Robert Kraft is a close friend of President Donald Trump. Enough said.

Beyond that, no team has been willing to give Kaepernick a shot over the last three years, so it is hard to see the Patriots being the exception to the rule.

Could Kaepernick end up in New England? Of course, anything can happen. Will he? It seems unlikely.
