Ty Lue is no stranger to speaking openly and honestly about his players.
It was more of the same this week, following his team’s big victory over the defending champion Los Angeles Lakers.
Lue went into great detail about how Kawhi Leonard’s current minutes situation is messing up his squad’s flow, but that wasn’t the only interesting commentary he offered.
As noted by Farbod Esnaashari of SI Now, Lue sees some notable similarities between his two biggest stars and Kobe Bryant, and he wasn’t shy to share.

George has been the subject of a lot of criticism and has a tendency to irritate both players and fans.
As such, him being compared to a beloved great like Bryant earned some pushback from various circles.
That said – it’s easy to see what point Lue was trying to make and it really isn’t that big of a deal at all.
