Stephen Curry is one of the most wholesome and beloved athletes in all of sports.
Because of that, fans across the nation were stunned this week when a video linking him to Diddy surfaced.
Diddy, of course, is facing federal charges of a particularly gruesome variety and recently had his home raided by authorities.
In recent days, a disturbing video involving Diddy and LeBron James sent shockwaves throughout the sports world. Similarly, a tweet involving Diddy from Patrick Mahomes raised a lot of eyebrows.
On Friday, this clip involving Curry and Diddy began to go viral:

There is just one problem, though – it lacks context.
This particular clip is from 2018 when Curry was asked about wanting to buy his hometown Carolina Panthers. Diddy had said prior to that he wanted to buy the team as well, and Curry was talking about owning a possible stake.

There was nothing nefarious about what he was talking about here.
Nevertheless, the internet has run wild with the video.
To be clear, though: Curry has no involvement with Diddy and this so-called ‘troubling’ video is merely about possibly owning a stake in the Panthers with the now-disgraced mousic mogul.
