Trent Dilfer’s Encounter With UAB Cheerleader Goes Viral (Video)

Former Baltimore Ravens Super Bowl-winning quarterback Trent Dilfer was named UAB’s new head football coach recently.

Ahead of the Blazers’ showdown against Miami (OH) on Friday, he stopped by to watch his squad in action.

Cameras on the sidelines caught an encounter between Dilfer and one of the cheerleaders that immediately went viral.

The video largely speaks for itself:

With social media being what it is nowadays, reactions to the clip poured in immediately.

They were roughly what one would expect:

This has been a wild year for college football cheerleaders. Between the cheerleader fight that went viral a few months ago, Coach O behaving exactly the way you’d expect with a group of dancers and Michael Irvin’s encounter with some Miami cheerleaders – it has been one thing after another.

In some ways, Dilfer’s viral video is just par for the course.

For what it’s worth, in their final game without Dilfer calling the shots UAB ended up prevailing over Miami (OH) 24-20 to improve to 7-6 on the year.

How will Dilfer ultimately perform at the helm of UAB’s college football program come 2023?

An answer one way or the other will emerge soon enough.
