Tracy McGrady Gets Brutally Honest About Nikola Jokic

Tracy McGrady is one of the most versatile and impressive NBA stars of his generation.

Given his unique skillset, particularly on offense, he is uniquely qualified to speak on modern day players in a way few others are.

This week, he did precisely that with Denver Nuggets star Nikola Jokic.

“Let me tell y’all something — this dude is so f—ing good, man. I haven’t seen anything like that,” McGrady said.

“The way he passes … you’ve got a 7-foot-1 center bringing up the ball and initiating the offense. Everything goes through him. It is amazing.

“The passes that he makes from one side of the court to the other, on time and on target, the bounce passes in between defenses. You can’t guard him on the post because he’s too big. He can’t jump over a dollar bill, but he rebounds. He is amazing.”

McGrady added that he would have loved the opportunity to play alongside Jokic.

“If there’s one person who I would want to play with, I would love to play with him,” McGrady continued. “He’s a problem.”

While McGrady’s words will no doubt meant a lot to Jokic, he has bigger concerns right now – namely his NBA Finals series against the Miami Heat being tied at one win apiece.

As noted by Draymond Green and Steve Kerr, Miami figured out how to guard Jokic effectively in Game 2.

Now the onus is on him to determine the best path forward.

Will Jokic be able to win the championship and reward McGrady’s faith in him this season? Time will tell.
