Tom Brady Is Done With The Patriots, Says ESPN
Tom Brady is done with the Patriots, says ESPN.
Earlier this week, right before Monday Night Football, ESPN football insider Adam Schefter stunned viewers when he said that he believed this would be Brady’s final year in New England.
According to Schefter, he came to this conclusion after noticing some simple things about Brady and his associates in recent months.
“When we talk about Tom and his future, let’s look at some simple things,” Schefter said on Monday.
“Has he put his home for sale? Yes.
“Has his trainer put up his home for sale? Yes.
“Has he set up his contract to void after the season to become a free agent? Yes.
“So if he’s selling his home and his trainer is selling his home and he’s voiding his contract, what does that tell you?”
On Thursday, Shefter doubled down during an appearance on ESPN’s Get Up.
“I don’t think he knows how it’s going to play out after this year,” he said.
“But again, just look at the basic facts. He’s selling his house and he’s voiding his contract. Doesn’t that tell you something?
“There are three options: he’s staying in New England, retiring or playing somewhere else.
“I would think staying in New England is the least likely option of the three.”
“He’s either staying in New England, he’s retiring or he’s going to play somewhere else. … Staying in New England to me, would seem like the least likely option of the three.”@AdamSchefter just blew Greeny’s mind about Tom Brady 🤯 pic.twitter.com/MOf211UaC6

While it would be odd to see Brady in a uniform other than New England’s, stranger things have happened in the NFL.
Still, retirement has to be the likeliest option of the three that Schefter presented.
