Titans Reveal Troubling Injury Update Before Patriots Game

The Titans revealed a troubling injury update before Saturday’s Patriots game.

New England has not played in a Wild Card weekend in a decade, but they’ll have to shake off the cobwebs and gear up to face a feisty Tennessee squad this weekend at Gillette Stadium.

Unfortunately, it looks like the Titans will be a bit shorthanded heading into this outing.

According to Jim Wyatt of Titans Online, wide receiver Adam Humphries is officially out for the looming showdown.

Humphries, who has not played since Week 13, still somehow finished third on the squad in receptions. He is also fresh off having signed a four-year, $32 million contract this past offseason.

Filling in for Humphries will be a mishmash of MyCole Pruitt, Rashard Davis and Tajae Sharpe.

Humphries played for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for the first four years of his NFL career. In that time he amassed 219 receptions for 2,329 yards and nine scores over the course of 60 games.

Mike Vrabel is very familiar with how formidable the Patriots can be, so expect for him to do everything in his power to patch up the hole in the offense that Humphries leaves behind.
