Houston Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson had one of the worst years ever in 2021.

After demanding a trade over the offseason, Watson found himself at the center of a horrific scandal when more than 20 women came forward and accused him of various sexual improprieties.

The scandal made him untradeable – forcing the Texans to sideline him for the entirety of the 2021-22 NFL season.

As a result of all the drama, Watson had maintained a fairly low profile as of late.

That all changed on New Year’s.

In celebration of his girlfriend Jilly Anais’ birthday the two went out partying together – and they simply could not keep their hands off each other.

Photos from the festive occasion speak for themselves:

Anais, in particular, really seemed to enjoy herself:

Earlier this year Anais made headlines for her relatively controversial response to the allegations that had been made against Watson. When she faced backlash over it, she doubled down hard.

It will be interesting to see what 2022 ultimately holds for this pair.

Anais will likely keep doing what she has been doing, so that’s less of a mystery. But Watson’s future is something of an open-ended question.

The 26-year-old has made it abundantly clear that he wants off the Texans. He has also repeatedly reiterated that there is one team he specifically refuses to play for, no matter what.

That really just leaves one serious potential suitor for Watson’s services.

If Watson can get his legal woes sorted and return to the field, he could possibly pump some life back into his career. But at the moment, and based on how things have gone for him up to this point – that seems like a pretty big if.
