The Houston Texans, Green Bay Packers, Kansas City Chiefs and Pittsburgh Steelers all wanted Le’Veon Bell, but were unable to make a trade for him.

The NFL trade deadline passed this past week with no major transactions being made.

Despite a lot of rumors surrounding the Dallas Cowboys and New York Jets, neither squad made any substantive moves.

In a recent interview on the Uninterrupted 17 Weeks podcast Bell revealed that four teams inquired about him with the Jets.

“I found out from my agent, you know, he had talked to the Jets and things like that,” he said.

“But there were teams like Houston, the Packers, the Kansas City Chiefs, and surprisingly the Steelers, were all in the mix of trying to trade for me.”

How close was New York to actually trading Bell to any of those teams? We’ll never know.

But it is no doubt an ego boost for Bell to know that Pittsburgh was interested given everything that has happened between him and the franchise over the past few years.
