Tennessee Fans’ Reactions To Beating Alabama Go Viral (Video)

Heading into Saturday’s showdown between Tennessee and Alabama, many thought the home team could squeak out a win.

When the Vols got off to a hot start, that confidence only increased.

But then Alabama came storming back – as Nick Saban’s teams often do. From that point on, it was dicey all the way through the Vols’ final, game-winning field goal.

After the outing, Tennessee fans were understandably jubilant. In a now-viral video, the final seconds leading up to the game-winning field goal and the subsequent fan reactions can be seen:

The emotion on display Saturday was electric. You could really feel the game’s high stakes from start to finish. One Vols fan was cheering so hard her shirt came flying off. That’s how nuts the bleachers were.

Afterward, one unfortunate Alabama fan was also taught a particularly brutal lesson by the female Tennessee fans in attendance.

To the winners go the spoils, and Tennessee definitely emerged from this weekend’s proceedings as the winners. Now the question is how they move forward.

The Vols’ next big match-up comes in two weeks against Kentucky. The Wildcats are solid, but presuming Josh Heupel gets his squad ready to play – this shouldn’t be a particularly difficult dub to attain.

Where things get tricky is Nov. 5. That’s when Tennessee takes on Georgia. Barring Florida doing something insane on Oct. 29, the Bulldogs will likely head into that match-up against the Vols undefeated.

If Heupel and Co. can hand them their first loss of the season, the Vols become the consensus top team in the nation. No question about it. And they will go into the College Football Playoff with about as much momentum as you can possibly have.

At this stage, even if Tennessee finishes with a loss, their place in the CFP is secure. The Alabama win cemented that.

But there is something special about this group.

Can they go undefeated and win it all this season?

Time will tell.
