Skip Bayless Has Message For Clemson And Trevor Lawrence

Skip Bayless has a message for Clemson and Trevor Lawrence.

That message? Do better.

According to the polarizing Fox Sports analyst, Monday night’s title showdown proved that LSU quarterback Joe Burrow was far superior to Lawrence.

During Tuesday morning’s episode of Undisputed, Bayless reflected on what had transpired National Championship Game.

“Joe Burrow is much better than Trevor Lawrence,” he said.

“This is not even close; Joe Burrow will be a much better NFL quarterback than Trevor Lawrence. I’ve had issues with Trevor Lawrence all year.

“Trevor Lawrence is not an accurate passer. I’m not sure this is gonna work in the NFL. I’m not saying he’s gonna be bad, but he’s not gonna be what the other kid [Burrow] is.”

Bayless went on to say that he believed Lawrence and Clemson benefited from a far easier schedule playing in the ACC.

He openly wondered how the year would have gone if the program had been forced to play against tougher competition.

Regardless of Bayless’ take, Lawrence is likely going to be the consensus No. 1 overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft.

Many also had him being the top pick over Kyler Murray, but he was ineligible to enter the pros in 2019 due to him being a freshman.
