Silvio De Sousa Used Chair In Kansas-Kansas State Brawl

Silvio De Sousa used a chair in the Kansas-Kansas State brawl on Tuesday night. Fortunately, it was ripped out of his hands before he could swing it anyone.

In the closing seconds of an outing that the Jayhawks had absolutely dominated, De Sousa attempted to run out the clock.

After dribbling the ball down the court, De Sousa was surprised to see Kansas State’s DeJuan Gordon run over and steal it. As Gordon took the ball to the other end, De Sousa trailed him and blocked the layup attempt.

A fight immediately broke out under the basket.

At one point during the brawl, De Sousa can be seen picking up a chair and holding it above his head as if he was going to use it as a weapon.

Thankfully, someone nearby pulled the chair away from him.

Suspensions will almost certainly be handed down to all involved in the coming days, and it will be interesting to see how strict De Sousa’s punishment will ultimately end up being.
