Sean McVay and his wife Veronika Khomyn went on vacation this past week in an effort to recharge their batteries after a hectic 2022-23 NFL season.
Fresh off winning his first Super Bowl, McVay faced the option of retiring or continuing on with the Los Angeles Rams. He opted for the latter.
It didn’t go well for him.
McVay’s squad was besieged by injuries, inconsistent play and bad luck from beginning to end – culminating in a 5-12 record that saw them finish third in the NFC West.
Heading into the offseason McVay faced a choice similar to the one he confronted one year earlier: retire or keep going. He once again opted for the latter.
Before getting back down to business and preparing for the 2023-24 NFL season, McVay decided to take a little vacation with his wife.
Khomyn shared the imagery from their trip on social media this weekend.
This obviously isn’t the first time Khomyn and McVay have caused a stir. Previously Khomyn’s wild boat party photos, provocative vacation pictures and impressive way of releasing her beau’s stress have all gone viral in various capacities.
This most recent situation was just par for the course.

McVay and Khomyn generally try to keep a low profile. Unlike Kliff Kingsbury and his girlfriend, who can’t keep their racy personal lives to themselves, the Rams coach and his wife aren’t too out there with their business.
But once in a while everyone likes to post on social media. And that is what happened here.

It will be interesting to see how the Rams ultimately look next season. Obviously last year was a disaster, but if everyone gets back on the same page, it will be viewed as an aberration.
That said, if L.A. struggles once again in 2023-24, it may end up doing legitimate damage to McVay’s legacy as a head coach.
