Russell Westbrook’s Cryptic Message Amid Lakers Woes (Video)

Russell Westbrook’s Cryptic Message Amid Lakers Woes (Video)

The Minnesota Timberwolves defeated the Los Angeles Lakers 118-113 on Wednesday night.

Beyond just the game itself, though – fans couldn’t help but notice some obvious red flags surrounding Lakers guard Russell Westbrook.

Two sequences in particular stood out.

The first involved basically the entire team huddling together pregame, with Westbrook opting to randomly exclude himself for no real reason:

The second featured Westbrook ignoring a defensive huddle organized by Patrick Beverley:

After the game, Westbrook took to social media and published this cryptic message:

What does that verse entail?

“Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour,” it reads.

Yikes.

Westbrook has been a disaster for the Lakers from the jump. He has fought with fans, argued with his teammates and clashed with the coaching staff.

There was hope that maybe he would buy in this summer in attempt to salvage his NBA career, but clearly that won’t happen.

He is still the same malcontent he was last year. This situation is unsalvageable.

The Lakers have three teams out there willing to take Westbrook off their hands. Plus, there is also a dark horse suitor hovering in the wings.

L.A. would be wise to take advantage and dump Westbrook as soon as humanly possible. Addition by subtraction.

Westbrook will never buy in. He is incapable of it. And he lacks the skillset to justify his place on the roster.

Whatever it takes, the Lakers must get rid off Westbrook. He is eating them alive from the inside, and they will be far better off without him than they are with him.
