Ref Hits Tennessee Coach Rick Barnes, Blames Him
A ref hit Tennessee coach Rick Barnes, then blamed him for it.
This week, the Volunteers squared off at home against Texas A&M.
It was a big outing for both squads and tensions were understandably running high.
One particularly odd sequence of events exemplified that.
With the game already out of reach for Tennessee, a referee quite clearly bumped into Barnes.
Said referee then turned to confront the head coach, as if he was the one who initiated contact.
It was odd all the way around.

Ultimately Texas A&M emerged from the proceedings with a 63-58 victory.
With the loss, Tennessee fell to 12-8 on the year.
