Raiders, Dolphins, Colts Trying To Trade For Quarterback

The Raiders, Dolphins and Colts are trying to trade for a quarterback, it would appear.

It is no secret that all three organizations are unhappy with their situations.

Las Vegas head coach Jon Gruden has made it no secret that he is no great fan of Derek Carr. Colts management has expressed similar sentiments about Jacoby Brissett.

Just this past week, Indy owner Jim Irsay acknowledged that when it comes to their quarterback situation, “all options are open.”

“All options are on the table,” he said.

“I’ve never quite been in a year when this was so unusual, if you will.”

Miami’s situation is a bit different. Unlike the other two aforementioned teams who are simply unhappy with their existing quarterbacks, the Dolphins are just looking to actually get someone remotely resembling a franchise quarterback.

Appearing on NFL Total Access this past week, NFL insider Ian Rapoport confirmed that the Raiders, Dolphins and Colts were all looking to upgrade at quarterback.

“You might actually see teams scrambling to come up not just in the top ten but in the top five to make sure they get their QB,” he said.

“The Dolphins, Raiders, and Colts are among teams that may move up.”

As it stands, the Dolphins currently own the number five, eighteen and twenty-six selections in the looming NFL Draft.

The Raiders and Colts own the twelfth and thirteenth selections, respectively.

Will all three teams ultimately come away with a quarterback they desire? We are about two months away from finding out for certain.
