Packers Saying Goodbye To Key Stars

The Packers are saying goodbye to key stars this offseason.

Due to a ton of unrestricted free agents to re-sign, some losses are inevitable.

With eight weeks remaining until NFL Free Agency officially kicks off, Green Bay general manager Brian Gutekunst opened up about the franchise’s plan going forward.

“I’ve got a lot of Ted Thompson in me,” he said.

“I’d like to keep them all.”

The team’s free agents include: kicker Mason Crosby, linebacker Blake Martinez, offensive lineman Bryan Bulaga, tight end Mercedes Lewis, linebacker B.J. Goodson, cornerback Tramon Williams, offensive lineman Jared Veldheer, offensive lineman Jason Spriggs, wide receiver Ryan Grant, wide receiver Geronimo Allison, running back Tyler Ervin, safety Ibraheim Campbell and outside linebacker Kyler Fackrell.

Bulaga, Martinez and Crosby figure to top Green Bay’s list of priorities.

The Packers went 13-3 this past season and finished first in the NFC North.

After a Wild Card bye, Green Bay defeated the Seattle Seahawks to advance to the NFC Championship Game.

Unfortunately, there they fell to the San Francisco 49ers – one game shy of the Super Bowl.
