Oklahoma State Coach Mike Gundy Was Furious Over A Media Question
Oklahoma State Coach Mike Gundy was furious over a media question on Monday.
While doing a press conference this week, Gundy was asked about a satirical report that said the school’s most famous booster, T. Boone Pickens, left him a gift card for a haircut in his will.
“I would prefer to answer real journalism questions and not be disrespectful to Mr. Pickens at this time,” Gundy replied.
“And any jackass like you that would ask a stupid question like that is really hurting journalism and making real media people look bad.”
Gundy did not stop there, though.

“Don’t hurt the real journalism world,” Gundy said.
“It’s jackasses like you that cause problems. They shouldn’t even let you call in.
“Do you want to talk football? I will talk football. If you want to be out there and talk idiotic social media then you need to go do something with a college kid.”
Pickens, 91, died earlier this month.
Opinions will differ on whether or not Gundy overreacted to the question, but what cannot be denied is his team’s 3-1 start to the year.
Oklahoma State won their first three games of the season by big numbers, only to fall to Texas this past weekend in their conference opener.
Next week Gundy’s squad will host the No. 24 ranked Kansas State Wildcats at Boone Pickens Stadium.
