Ohio State Offers Final Justin Fields Health Update

Ohio State offered a final Justin Fields health update ahead of today’s bowl game against Clemson.

Speaking to reports before the College Football Playoff semi-final showdown, Ohio State head coach Ryan Day was asked about his star quarterback’s health status.

“He’s doing great,” Day replied.

Earlier in the week, Fields acknowledged that the knee injury that hindered him in the Big Ten Championship game against Wisconsin was not at a hundred percent.

“My knee’s probably not where I want it to be right now,” Fields acknowledged.

“But I think with treatment every day and just resting it every day, hopefully, it will be better by the game.”

Earlier in the week, Fields described his knee as being at roughly 80 to 85 percent.

Fields wore a knee brace to practice all week, and he is expected to play in one against Clemson.

It remains to be seen how Fields’ reduced mobility will ultimately effect Ohio State’s offense in Saturday’s big showdown.
