This weekend’s memorable Peach Bowl battle between Georgia and Ohio State was the cherry atop a great year in college football.

It had everything. Drama. Suspense. Intrigue. And of course, a come-from-behind victory.

In addition to all those things, the outing also had one other factor that set it apart: a female Ohio State fan who captured the attention of a nation.

In the closing seconds of the match-up, this young woman flashed across the screen:

Obviously the Buckeyes coming up short again in the College Football playoff wasn’t great. But at least they got some positive headlines out of the experience as well.

There is this fan thing. And then there was a staffer’s confession about head coach Ryan Day that definitely caused a stir.

By any objective measure, 2022 was a solid year for Buckeyes football and the larger fan base.

What craziness will 2023 ultimately bring?

Time will tell.
