Notre Dame Star Announces Transfer Decision

A Notre Dame star announced his transfer decision this week.

Former Fighting Irish quarterback Phil Jurkovec entered the transfer portal recently.

It was thought that the youngster might need a little time to make a final decision on where to go, but that turned out not to be the case.

According to Jerry DiPaola, Jurkovec will be moving to Boston College to play with Jeff Hafley.

“Three days after his name appeared in the NCAA transfer portal, the Pine-Richland graduate and former Notre Dame quarterback will enroll at Boston College,” he reported.

“Jurkovec committed to Boston College coach Jeff Hafley on his visit Saturday.”

Jurkovec is one of the more intriguing talents in college football today. Standing at a towering six feet and five inches, he has a lot of the physical attributes you look for in a starting passer.

That said, Jurkovec has played in a total of eight games over the course of his career at Notre Dame.

In those eight outings he recorded 222 yards through the air, 139 yards on the ground and two total touchdowns.

When Jurkovec arrived in South Bend, he was the fourth ranked dual threat quarterback and the eighty-third best prospect in his class.

It remains to be seen what sort of impact he will have on Boston College’s offense.
