Nick Saban and Alabama lost yet another star to transfer this week.
Defensive back Nigel Knott announced on Monday that he was planning on leaving the Crimson Tide for greener pastures.
Coming into this past season, many thought that Knott’s playing career as a whole might not continue into the new year.
“The medical staff decided it was not in his best interest to continue to play football,” Saban back in September.

Initially Knott was viewed as someone who could be a second-team player for Alabama, but then he ended up getting medically disqualified.
Fortunately for Knott, shortly after the season came to an end, he was medically cleared to continue playing football.
“I am blessed to have played football for the University of Alabama,” he wrote on social media.
“I have decided to enter the transfer portal.”
Prior to linking up with Saban and Alabama, Knott was a four-star recruit.
It will be interesting to see what schools choose to pursue him now that he is leaving town.
A final decision on where he will play next should come at some point in the next few weeks.
