Florida State Steals Star From Lane Kiffin, Ole Miss

Florida State stole a star from Lane Kiffin and Ole Miss this week.

Offensive tackle Robert Scott announced on Monday that he was switching his commitment from the Rebels to the Seminoles.

Standing at six-foot-five and 310 pounds, the three-star recruit has all of the physical attributes necessary to be an absolute force at the collegiate level.

Scott initially committed to Ole Miss back in June of last year, but various coaching changes reportedly made him go in a different direction.

Scott visited Florida State last week and Arkansas this weekend. Obviously the former made more of an impression than the latter.

In particular, Florida State offensive line coach Alex Atkins seems to have made a real impression on the young star.

ā€œThat is my guy,ā€ Scott told the media.

ā€œHe is real cool. He is funny. He was telling me stuff, watching my film, and he was telling me the stuff that I did wrong,ā€ Scott added.

ā€œA lot of coaches donā€™t tell tell you what you did wrong, they tell you what you are good at.

ā€œI can tell that he knows what he is talking about and he wants to take me from being somewhere low to being something great.ā€

Florida Stateā€™s 2020 commitments list is absolutely stacked. In addition to Scott, they also have Thomas Shrader, Zane Herring and Lloyd Willis.

It will be interesting to see what new head coach Mike Norvell is ultimately able to do with this young group.
