Washington Football Team Releases Helmet Design
The Washington Football team released its new helmet design this week.
It is just the latest step by the organization in moving forward without the “Redskins” moniker that it carried for the better part of the last century.
This week, Dan Snyder’s team released some glimpses at what its helmets would ultimately look like in the 2020-21 NFL season.

The Washington Football Team is still in the process of securing a full-time, long-term name – but for the time being seems to be embracing its interim title.
While “Redskins” has officially been dropped, the organization has opted to retain its classic gold and burgundy colors.
Last year, the Redskins finished the season 3-13. That placed them dead last in the NFC East. This season, the presumption is that second-year quarterback Dwayne Haskins will take a step forward and build on the potential he showcased last season.
Washington will not have any change to its color scheme. It will still use burgundy and gold. The Redskins logo on the helmet will be replaced by the player’s number in gold. The Washington Football Team will debut its home uniforms in week 1 against the Eagles. pic.twitter.com/8DpC6b0Tyj

If that happens, it would not be particularly shocking to see the Washington Football Team step up and make some noise in the NFC East.
