Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce is no stranger to landing in the headlines.
Between the photos of him and Taylor Swift arguing, that video of him running his hands all over body and the time he broke one of Swift’s cardinal rules while in Las Vegas, the three-time Super Bowl champion is constantly trending for one reason or another.
This week, Kelce found himself going viral over a deleted tweet he sent out regarding Easter and Jesus.
The message largely speaks for itself:

With social media being what it is nowadays, fans had strong reactions to Kelce’s message:

No worries. I’ll still give Jesus a shout-out. Trust me. He doesn’t care how famous you are 🙂✝️

What classless and trashy Travis Kelce is, just like his girlfriend.

I don’t like the guy, i don’t like football, I don’t like swift or any of it but this was 14 years ago. Surely there’s something else to be upset about.

The problem? That tweet is from more than a decade ago. Maybe it represents Kelce’s current feelings on Easter; perhaps it doesn’t.
But either way, it is a very old tweet.
Will Kelce come out and clarify one way or the other regarding how old that tweet is at some point this week? Time will tell.
