Patriots Fall In Love With Star At Senior Bowl

The Patriots fell in love with a star at the Senior Bowl this week.

One of the big issues New England experienced last season was not having enough talent to surround Tom Brady with.

Defensively the team was sound, but on the offensive side of the ball it was very lacking.

As a result, Bill Belichick and Co. arrived at the Senior Bowl looking to fill that void.

In a recent report, Pro Football Network noted that the Patriots have apparently found their man.

Team brass is reportedly “gushing” over SMU receiver James Proche.

This past season Proche recorded 111 catches – the most in the country aside from LSU star Justin Jefferson.

Over the course of his college career, Proche amassed 3,949 yards and 39 scores on 301 catches.

He earns more than 13 yards per reception, all while dropping less than 10 passes over the course of his time at SMU.

At the moment, Proche is thought of a fourth-round pick, but it remains to be seen if New England ultimately takes him earlier than that.
